Education creates possibilities.

For a student whose schooling was interrupted by conflict, a scholarship is more than tuition — it is a path back to stability, community, and a future they choose for themselves. This campaign connects students on campuses everywhere with students who are working to continue their education against the odds. When students give, they are not writing a cheque to a cause; they are backing a peer.

Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA)
Meet MECA

Our scholarship partner

Since 2004, the Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA) has provided scholarships to hundreds of Palestinian students attending Palestinian universities. Many are refugees, the majority are women, and all face significant financial hardship. This academic year, MECA is supporting students across the West Bank and Gaza, with the most common fields of study including medicine, nursing, physical therapy, midwifery, and social work. GCHP partners with MECA so that money raised on campus reaches students through an organisation already trusted and embedded in the communities it serves.

Salsabeel

Fine Arts & Graphic Design · Gaza
"Art is my way of telling people that Palestinians still deserve to live, dream, and continue."

After her family lost their source of income, the scholarship helped Salsabeel stay enrolled. Alongside her studies she volunteers with youth initiatives, using art to help children process and express what they are living through. Her dream is to open a museum showcasing the work of Palestinian artists.

Abdullah

Dentistry · Gaza
"My dream is to pursue a master's in orthodontics and oral surgery. Without the scholarship, I would have had to stop."

A third-year dental student with a strong academic record, Abdullah began teaching practical skills to other students when access to online lectures collapsed. With a volunteer team, he has since reached more than 500 university students — insisting on keeping the help free.

Ruba

Medical Cosmetics · West Bank
"Even in my free time, I search for online courses to gain experience and expand my knowledge."

Ruba studies medical cosmetics alongside her sisters and dedicates herself fully to her coursework. This year she explored pharmaceutical formulation — formulating creams, extracting oils, and producing skincare products — the first steps toward her ambition in cosmetic science.

Julnar

Dentistry · West Bank
"The future doesn't only need doctors; it needs people who understand technology and can use it."

Julnar learned programming and AI to bring into her medical field. When the scholarship covered tuition but not transport, she started a small embroidery project to cover the cost herself. She hopes to specialise in maxillofacial surgery.
